Job Description Job Description RDMEDICALDOCTORS currently hiring a Physician Assistant to work in the Manhattan and Bronx area. General Responsibilities: Conduct patient examinations, including taking medical histories, performing physical exams, and ordering diagnostic tests. Diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions. Develop and implement patient management plans, record progress notes, and provide follow-up care. Prescribing Medications: Prescribe medications and therapies according to state regulations and in collaboration with supervising physicians. Patient Education: Educate patients on their health conditions, treatment plans, preventive care, and healthy lifestyle choices. Collaboration with Healthcare Team: Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care. Participate in case discussions, care planning, and team meetings. Documentation and Compliance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and privacy laws. Ensure proper coding and documentation for billing and insurance purposes. Continuing Education: Stay updated on medical advancements, attend relevant workshops, and maintain certifications and licenses. Emergency Response: Provide emergency care when required, including life support and first aid measures. Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and clinic efficiency. Patient Advocacy: Act as a patient advocate, ensuring patients receive the care and support they need. Skills/Qualifications: Bilingual preferable (English and Spanish) / 1-2 years of job-related experience preferable Schedule: Day shift Monday to Friday Experience: Physician's Assistant: 1-2 year (Preferred) Medical terminology: 1-2 year (Preferred) Certifications /Licenses: PA Certification Active NYS License Supervisor: Physician Benefit Conditions: Waiting period may apply : The benefits package includes health insurance, professional liability coverage, continuing education reimbursement, retirement plan, and paid time off.
