Maintenance Electrician

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS Grade 12 or equivalent Qualified Electrician (trade) Wireman's License Minimum 3 years experience as an Electrician in an industrial environment Ability to read, understand and interpret technical drawings Strong understanding of PLC controls Knowledge of maintenance procedures and specified tools Computer literacy Own reliable transport Ability to communicate, understand, read and write English Must be punctual (essential) Willing to work as per shift assignments DUTIES Inspect electrical systems, components and equipment to identify defects, faults or malfunctions and diagnose issue. Troubleshoot electrical problems and implement corrective action to restore functionality. Perform electrical work with heavy duty machinery. Perform electrical work with industrial communications, motor and generator systems. Install and maintain grounding systems, surge protectors and electrical safety devices to protect against electrical hazards, shocks and fires. Provide technical guidance and support accordingly Maintain wiring of various electrical equipment and gadgets. Assemble or uninstall electrical equipment. Test installed electrical devices to determine quality and condition
