Purpose of the role Business activity at Garmin Swansea has grown significantly over the past 12 months, placing increased demands on production. To maintain our high standards and effectively support expanding production, an experienced Senior Assembler is required to support the efficient and accurate production of LED lights and associated accessories. The role contributes directly to the assembly and preparation of high-quality products and in addition provide support and assistance to the Production Coordinator with the management and organisation of the team. Key Duties and responsibilities Assemble, test, and inspect standard products using hand tools, power tools, and machinery, following approved quality procedures and documentation. Complete production, test, and quality records accurately, ensuring traceability, compliance, and adherence to company policies and health & safety standards. Prepare, clean, and package finished goods for dispatch while maintaining high standards of workmanship and presentation. Utilise and update the ERP system (SAGE200) for part-issuing, stock movements, serial/batch entries, and work order completion. Support the Production Coordinator with daily planning, workflow organisation, and provide cover during absences. Cross-train and support team members to enhance technical competence and product knowledge across departments. Collaborate with the Quality team to inspect components, resolve build issues, and assist with root cause analysis and process improvements. Contribute to Continuous Improvement by identifying BOM or Dozuki discrepancies and assisting in implementing change management actions. Maintain FIFO stock rotation, highlight discrepancies, and support accurate inventory control and system integrity. Education and Experience High School Education Grades A-C or equivalent - Desirable Must be able to read and perform basic maths calculations Excellent organisational skills Excellent communication skills Strong general electrical assembly skills Ability to train others to a high level of quality Strong product knowledge Benefits 21 days holiday a year rising to 26 days with service, plus all public and Bank Holidays.
