Job Description

Department: Operations / Technology Reporting To: Chief Operating Officer (COO) Location: Singapore ⸻ About the Role The Technology Manager will play a key role in driving AGI’s digital transformation and technology roadmap. This position is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and managing relationships with external IT vendors, software developers, and integration partners. The ideal candidate will bridge business needs with technical execution—ensuring AGI’s technology initiatives enhance operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and market competitiveness. This is an individual contributor role with strong growth potential to build and lead a small technology team as AGI scales its digital capabilities. ⸻ Key Responsibilities 1. Technology Project Management Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of AGI’s ongoing and new technology projects (e.g., CRM systems, quotation platforms, API integrations). Translate AGI’s business and operational needs into clear, actionable technical requirements for developers and solution vendors. Monitor project timelines, budgets, and deliverables, ensuring milestones are achieved and risks mitigated. 2. Vendor & Partner Management Source, evaluate, and manage IT service providers, app developers, and technology vendors. Negotiate contracts, track vendor performance, and ensure service‑level compliance. Coordinate with insurers, intermediaries, and distribution partners on data integration and IT enablement initiatives. 3. Systems & Integration Oversight Work with internal stakeholders to enhance system interoperability across AGI’s platforms. Manage data exchange protocols, API integration, and system security frameworks in alignment with partners and regulatory expectations. 4. Regulatory & Compliance Awareness Stay abreast of MAS technology and data governance regulations, including guidelines on outsourcing, data protection, and cybersecurity. Ensure that AGI’s technology ecosystem adheres to MAS and PDPA requirements. 5. Innovation & Market Intelligence Keep updated on emerging technologies, insuretech trends, and market innovations relevant to AGI’s business model. Proactively propose digital enhancements that improve user experience, operational efficiency, and data‑driven decision‑making. ⸻ Requirements Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. PMP, Agile, or Scrum certifications are advantageous. * Graduates will be considered Experience 5 years of experience in IT project management, vendor management, or technology implementation (insurance or financial services experience preferred). Proven track record in managing app development, systems integration, or digital transformation projects. Experience engaging with external vendors, developers, and business partners. * Graduates will be considered Skills & Attributes Strong project management and stakeholder coordination abilities. Understanding of MAS technology risk guidelines and PDPA compliance. Excellent communication skills — able to translate business objectives into technical execution plans.
