Job Description

An opportunity has arisen for a Support Worker Early Childhood Educator to join Park Drive Nursery. You will have skills, knowledge and experience of supporting children with varied additional support needs within a busy Early Learning and Childcare provision. You will have a passion and enthusiasm for meeting the needs of each individual child. Working in a supportive role you will plan and implement appropriate experiences and learning opportunities in line with local and national curriculum guidance and health and social care standards which enable all children to develop their full potential. You will work as an effective team member and establish positive relationships with professionals from external agencies, children and families. You will have prior knowledge and experience of supporting young children including those with additional support needs. You must hold or be working towards a recognised qualification (minimum SCQF Level 6) that enables you to register as a Support Worker (in a day care of children service) with the SSSC at the start of your employment. Alternatively, you should be able to evidence that you have applied for a relevant course. You must be registered with or currently seeking registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).
