Trainee Metal Fabricator East Grinstead Salary: £27,000 - £28,000 DOE Lloyd Recruitment Services are working with an excellent local client who is seeking a Sheet Metal Fabricator (trainee) to join their busy and well-established manufacturing team near East Grinstead. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business that specialises in high-quality fabrications for the roofing and cladding industry. Full training will be provided for a practical, enthusiastic individual with the right attitude and a keen eye for quality. Key Responsibilities: Operate and set up press brake machinery to bend and shape sheet metal Use mechanical guillotines to cut sheet metal to specific lengths Fabricate components according to technical drawings Use hand tools (grinders, drills, jigsaws) for fabrication work Interpret and work accurately from engineering drawings and manager instructions Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines Support with dispatch prep and loading when needed Maintain and inspect tools and equipment Adhere to all safety and quality standards within the workshop What We're Looking For: Proficiency in basic maths (GCSE Grade 4 minimum or equivalent) Hands on approach to work and desire to learn Good attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship Must have a full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle due to location Previous experience in sheet metal/fabrication/CNC press brakes or manufacturing (advantageous) What's in it for you?
