Caretaker - Full-Time, Long-Term - Lewisham Immediate Start | Competitive Pay (PAYE) | Mainstream Secondary School Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking a reliable and experienced Caretaker to join a welcoming mainstream secondary school in Lewisham. This is a full-time, long-term position, starting immediately and continuing through to the end of the academic year, with potential for extension. As a Caretaker, you'll play an essential role in maintaining the school's buildings, facilities, and grounds to ensure a safe, secure, and well-presented environment for students, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will be proactive, dependable, and take pride in keeping the site running smoothly. Key Responsibilities: Opening and securing the school premises each day Carrying out general maintenance, basic repairs, and DIY tasks Monitoring site safety, cleanliness, and security Overseeing cleaning standards and external contractors Responding promptly to maintenance issues and ensuring compliance with health and safety policies Requirements: Previous experience working as a Caretaker or Site Assistant (essential) Strong practical maintenance and DIY skills Good understanding of health and safety procedures Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply) A positive attitude and ability to work independently Why work with Tradewind Recruitment?
