Shift Engineer

Job Title: Shift Engineer (Lead) Salary: £59,000 per annum (Benefits) Hours: 12 hour shifts (2x days / 2x nights) Location: Trafford, Manchester Are you an experienced engineer (across both electrical and mechanical ) looking to take the step into further leadership? Job Responsibilities: Lead, mentor and develop a team of two Effectively allocating tasks and monitoring team performance Conducting and leading team meetings and providing support where required Support across planned and reactive maintenance in a "hands-on" approach Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults Logging all maintenance work accurately and ensuring equipment is safe to use once repaired Leading small to medium engineering projects Supporting lean manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement on processes Remaining up to date with electrical standards and all H&S regulations Work closely with Site Engineering Manager and ensuring all documentation and reports sent within agreed timelines What are we looking for: Completed engineering apprenticeship (electrical or multi-skilled) ONC/BTEC in Engineering (HNC Desirable) Strong experience across electrical and mechanical maintenance Experience within leadership roles / responsibilities Experience in contractor management, performance setting and PTW systems Strong understanding of Health and Safety JDRCC JDR is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
