The Opportunity Due to continued demand across a portfolio of maintenance contracts, we are looking for a dependable and experienced Electrical Engineer to join the team. The role is primarily based on a key contract in East London, with occasional travel to surrounding sites across Greater London. You will be responsible for a broad range of planned and reactive electrical maintenance tasks across both commercial and domestic properties, from lighting repairs and distribution board changes to EICR testing and remedials. This position would suit an experienced Electrician or Electrical Engineer who takes pride in delivering quality workmanship and values consistency, reliability, and professional standards. Responsibilities * Carry out planned and reactive electrical maintenance across commercial and domestic sites * Complete a range of electrical tasks including installations, repairs, EICR testing, and remedials * Follow scheduled maintenance programmes and report to your Supervisor * Participate in a shared on-call rota for urgent callouts * Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and health & safety standards Requirements * Minimum 5 years’ experience as an Electrician or Electrical Engineer across domestic and commercial environments * Good working knowledge of current IET Wiring Regulations (18th Edition) * NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) via apprenticeship or similar route * Current ECS Card * Full UK driving licence Remuneration Package – Electrical Engineer * £41,000 – £43,000 (reflective of experience) * Company vehicle, phone, laptop, and tools provided * 24 days holiday plus bank holidays * Health cover and company pension * Overtime available at 1.5x (Saturdays) and 2x (Sundays) * Working hours: 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday * Ongoing training and development opportunities, with genuine scope for long-term career progression If you are an experienced Electrician or Electrical Engineer looking to join a highly respected and growing electrical contractor that truly values its people, please apply online today or contact Rob Green at David Leslie Ltd for a confidential discussion about this opportunity.
