Computational Biology Engineer internship W/M

Context Are you passionate about predictive modeling and applying advanced computational approaches to unravel complex biological and medical problems? If yes, this internship opportunity is for you! We are seeking a motivated and talented intern to join our research and innovation team for a 6-month period from the beginning of year 2026. Goals & tasks Working closely with our scientific experts, you will contribute to the design, implementation, and testing of novel computational approaches, with a particular emphasis on building static networks, developing predictive models for clinical and biological applications, exploring dynamic inference methods to capture evolving processes, and applying hybrid modeling strategies that integrate data-driven and mechanistic approaches to complex biological systems During your internship you will be actively involved in the full research cycle: literature review, model design, data integration and analysis, validation, interpretation, and dissemination of results . Requirements Master’s student in computational biology, bioinformatics, or a related field – (Master 1 not accepted) Experience in programming using Python, R, or other languages. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team. Experience or strong interest in predictive modelling. Interest in complex biological systems (genetics, epigenetics, molecular biology, physiopathology). Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, ability to generate and test novel hypotheses. Excellent communication and pitching capacity Fluent in french is mandatory A good level in english is recommended Please note that this job offer is for a 6-months internship. Is not open for an apprenticeship. Please note that an agreement internship with a french university is mandatory.
