Your new role The Manager, Data Analytics and AI -primary role is to consult with the company’s business functions and stakeholders on data analytics and AI use cases, to collaboratively identify potential value, and propose scalable solutions, aligned with the key business strategic objectives. The role will leverage the latest technologies to design, develop, and sustain data analytics and AI solutions that deliver business value across the mining vale chain. This role is pivotal in enabling data-driven decisions, unlocking data insights and in solving complex problems. What You'll Need to Succeed Bachelor’s / master’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Data science and analytics, Data visualization, Machine learning, or AI, or in related field. Able to program in different languages such as python and R and have experience with statics and data cleaning libraries and methodologies, in addition to visualization such as Power BI or Tableau. Familiarity with popular technical libraries such as Pandas or others Statistical knowledge such as descriptive statistics, analysis of variance, regression analysis, hypothesis testing and confidence intervals. Understand Data cleaning methodology and how to fill in missing data using certain methodologies. Preferably sufficient and has technical terminologies in processing and refineries if possible and applicable. A few years of hands-on experience, with a preference of 5 years of experience in building data analytics-based products or machine learning models. Proficiency in developing, evaluating and selecting the best Data Analytics and AI solution or model and has a holistic knowledge about front-end and back-end integration to the model. Experience in applying optimization such as gradient descent, etc. Good communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to derive insights and opportunities from data are required.
