A recent professional profile photo is to accompany your application EMPLOYMENT TYPE : Permanent SECTOR : Manufacturing / Injection Moulding BASIC SALARY : R29 000.00 Benefits START DATE : A.S.A.P / Immediate REQUIREMENTS: Grade 12 (Matric) Minimum N3 in Millwright trade theory Trade Tested (Millwright) 5 years experience post trade test Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) Manufacturing experience in a factory environment or production setting Sound understanding of technical drawings Installation of parts and related equipment (Workshop/Tool Room work) Utilization of a full range of hand and power tools (including welder, milling machine, lathe) Knowledge of technical principles and drawings (e.g., assemblies, spare part finding, pneumatic, hydraulic, electric) Ability to make proper sketches for part manufacturing Strong communication skills Ability to act decisively and urgently High level of emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills Installation of electrical and mechanical related equipment DUTIES: Technical: Perform fault analysis and problem-solving in various fields of expertise, as assigned by the Maintenance Manager, depending on complexity. Take responsibility for: Workshop Services room and its technical equipment (compressed air and cooling water) Technical infrastructure (building, water, and air supplies) Company bakkie Identify, report immediately, and rectify all technical areas of concern on assigned equipment. Recognize and report issues on equipment other than those assigned, to the Maintenance Manager. Repairs: Rectify defective equipment or tooling as assigned by the Maintenance Manager. Know when to improvise and innovate, while ensuring the proper repair is followed. Assist the Maintenance Manager in identifying when to involve suppliers (e.g., toolroom or external suppliers). Maintenance: Develop maintenance plans and checklists for assigned equipment, in collaboration with the Maintenance Manager/team. Ensure maintenance on assigned equipment is done at required intervals, according to the plans: By service suppliers as agreed with the Maintenance Manager Document maintenance as per the plans Perform general maintenance (e.g., oil and grease) on equipment, as agreed with the responsible person. Spares: Identify spare parts needed for assigned equipment and in general. Recognize spares required as a preventative measure during maintenance checks. Construction: Build racks, stands, dividers, etc., using wood, steel, concrete, and other materials Assist with factory installations (e.g., pipework, electrical cabling with electricians, machine installation). Management: Oversee tasks and report to the Maintenance Manager Provide completion dates and fulfill tasks as required by the Maintenance Manager. Maintain strong relationships and communication with internal teams (other technical team members, Production, Planning, etc.) and external teams (e.g., the company Toolroom/Technical department, suppliers). Work efficiently and strive for continuous improvement, researching and making suggestions for improvements. Administration (Job): Log jobs performed. Contact external suppliers (as agreed with the Maintenance Manager) for service, spare parts, quotes, etc. Report tools needed to the Maintenance Manager. Spares: Maintain an overview of existing stock for equipment. Perform spare part analysis (e.g., keep stock vs. sourcing during breakdowns). Consider likelihood of wear/breakage, cost, and delivery time. Report parts needed to the Maintenance Manager and assist in decision-making regarding stock levels or sourcing at breakdown. Assist in the ordering process (e.g., preparing documents, following up on orders). Assist the Maintenance Manager with the annual maintenance budget planning. Health & Safety: Ensure and enforce that all responsibilities conform to health and safety requirements. Maintain housekeeping standards in assigned areas (e.g., cleanliness of technical areas, stores, workshops, and machines). Work safely and report safety hazards or issues. Food (Product) Safety: Apply site-specific food safety principles and standards. Report any food safety hazards or issues to the Supervisor/Manager. Comply with and maintain all GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices) in relation to the companys FSMS (Food Safety Management System). Self-Development, Growth, and Training: Stay updated on innovation and technical improvements for both personal and company development. Maintain contact with key suppliers for discussion and feedback. Read operator manuals of machines and relevant literature (e.g., online resources). Conduct a realistic assessment of your strengths and areas for development, and take action to address weaknesses. Demonstrate teamwork, self-management, leadership, and interpersonal skills. Focus on product and service quality. General: Perform additional tasks as required, including assisting team members as needed. Work overtime when required, including weekend and night call-outs. Ensure the team knows what to do and where to find information in your absence. Apply the companys principles and standards and set an example as a role model for your team and others.
