Job Description

Applicants are required to meet the following criteria: Grade 12 with previous work experience as a Sales Manager in the car dealership industry Due to the companies equity plan, a female EE candidate is ideally sought Valid drivers license The s uccessful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to: Assist in formulating ongoing vehicle sales policy Maximize sales and profitability and develop the necessary sales organization Ensure optimum stock of cars and ensure cost control to budget Ensure sales / operating profit is achieved Ensure increase in local market penetration Maximize the sales of all 2nd gross products Monitor advertising, customer contacts and leads Formulate sales targets for each salesperson and ensure they are achieved Formulate salespersons activity management targets Ensure expenditure is in line with budget Develop and implement a sales growth strategy for new and used car sales Motivate and lead the sales team to achieve company sales volumes and gross profits Motivate and lead the sales team to achieve OEM retail and wholesale sales targets Daily activity management Daily/weekly calling on customers to build solid relationships Maintain strong relationship between business manager and sales team. Manage Relationship between company and OEM Manage OEM Scorecard Manage the monthly Reports etc that are required from OEM. Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures Manage assets to benchmark levels. Manage vehicle debtors to benchmark.
