Senior Account Manager - Healthcare Communications - London Position: Senior Account Manager Location: London (Hybrid) Contract Type: Permanent Start: ASAP Senior Account Manager – We’re looking for a talented Senior Account Manager to join a growing healthcare communications team. As a Senior Account Manager, you’ll bring solid healthcare communications experience and the confidence to manage the core aspects of client service and campaign delivery. You’ll be the main point of contact for your clients, oversee projects (including patient advocacy, PR, comms, social media campaigns, corporate comms etc), and play a key role in delivering creative, strategic, and compliant communications that make an impact. Role & Responsibilities: Develop the ability to provide trusted strategic counsel to clients - offering clear, informed advice based on your growing experience and industry insight. Take briefs and turn them into high-quality content - from press materials and briefing documents to social posts, emails, and video content. Oversee the delivery of assets, ensuring accuracy and creativity, and review work from junior team members, providing constructive feedback to maintain high standards with minimal senior oversight. Demonstrate strong management skills - briefing and guiding junior colleagues, helping them prioritise workloads, and supporting their professional growth. Work collaboratively with senior team members to ensure smooth workflows and timely reviews, with the aim of taking on line management responsibilities in the near future. Bring a strong understanding of the media landscape - leading sell-ins from press release sign-off to pitching and securing coverage across consumer, medical, and trade outlets. Understand how to use social media strategically, confidently advising clients on platform selection, content types, and compliance. Act as a sounding board for junior team members’ ideas, ensuring all social activity reflects client tone, narrative, and brand messaging. Take ownership of project budgets - developing accurate costings, tracking spend, and building your commercial awareness. Proactive, problem-solving mindset - identifying potential challenges early, suggesting solutions, and collaborating with senior colleagues to ensure smooth project delivery. Play an active role in shaping a positive, supportive culture - from mentoring colleagues to participating in training and industry events. Contribute to new business activity, supporting research, developing slides, and attending pitch presentations when opportunities arise.
