Job Description

The Role Teach Now is recruiting an inspiring and dedicated Year 2 Teacher to join a thriving two-form entry primary school in Brent (NW10). This is a long-term position through to July 2026, with a strong possibility of extension for the following academic year. You’ll take responsibility for a vibrant Year 2 class, delivering engaging, creative lessons that develop curiosity, confidence, and a love of learning. The ideal candidate will have proven Key Stage 1 experience, sound curriculum knowledge, and a warm, positive classroom presence that fosters progress and enthusiasm. Key Responsibilities • Plan and deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum. • Assess and track pupil progress, identifying and addressing learning gaps. • Create a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment that encourages independence. • Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents to ensure every child thrives. • Contribute to school life, supporting enrichment and whole-school initiatives. About You • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent classroom experience within Key Stage 1 • Strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum and assessment frameworks • A reflective, enthusiastic practitioner committed to raising standards • Excellent classroom management and communication skills • Reliable, adaptable, and eager to contribute to school life • Desirable: Experience preparing pupils for end-of-KS1 assessments (SATs) and familiarity with phonics programmes such as Read Write Inc or Little Wandle.
