Job Description

Job Title: History Teacher (0.8 FTE – 4 Days per Week) Location: Redhill, Surrey Start Date: January 2026 About the Role: A forward-thinking secondary school in Redhill is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced History Teacher to join their team on a 0.8 FTE basis (4 days per week). The successful candidate will deliver engaging and high-quality lessons to KS3 and KS4 students, fostering a passion for History while supporting academic achievement and personal development. Key Responsibilities: * Deliver engaging History lessons across KS3 and KS4 in line with curriculum and assessment requirements. * Plan and prepare differentiated lessons and schemes of work to meet the needs of all learners. * Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and maintaining accurate records. * Contribute to departmental planning, curriculum development, and extra-curricular activities. * Promote student engagement and participation in History-related events and projects. Candidate Requirements: * QTS or QTLS qualified. * Experience teaching History to KS3 and KS4 students. * Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for teaching History. * Excellent classroom management and interpersonal skills. * Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
