Wire Harness Technician - Loombotic Build the future of wire harness manufacturing About Loombotic We're reimagining how wire harnesses are manufactured. Backed by Y Combinator, we're on a mission to build the world's first fully automated wire harness factory. Wire harnesses are the nervous systems of everything from EVs to aircraft to data centers. Despite being a $200B market, manufacturing is still surprisingly manual and inefficient. We're changing that through building robotics and automation. The Role As our founding technician, you'll be instrumental in building and operating our production systems. This is a hands-on role where you'll master wire harness assembly, operate automation equipment, and help improve our manufacturing processes. You'll work directly with our engineering team to bring automation systems from prototype to production, providing critical feedback on what works in the real world. What You'll Do Build wire harnesses - Master crimping, routing, assembly, and testing processes Operate automation equipment - Run and maintain robotic systems and automated machinery Improve processes - Identify bottlenecks and suggest improvements based on hands-on experience Ensure quality - Perform testing and inspection to maintain high standards Support automation development - Provide practical feedback to engineers on new systems Train future technicians - Help build and document processes as we scale the team Required Skills Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail Experience with hand tools and assembly work Ability to read technical drawings and follow work instructions Problem-solving mindset Excellent hand-eye coordination and dexterity Team player who can also work independently Nice-to-Have's Experience with wire harnesses, cable assembly, or electronics manufacturing IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification or soldering experience Basic understanding of robotics or automation Experience with quality control and testing procedures Previous startup or small company experience What We Offer Competitive salary - Strong hourly rate or salary Direct impact - Your expertise shapes how we build products Career growth - Clear path to Lead Technician, Production Manager, or technical specialist roles Skills development - Learn automation, robotics, and advanced manufacturing Build something meaningful - Help revolutionize a massive industry Who You Are You're the kind of person who: Takes pride in building things with your hands Enjoys learning new tools and techniques Spots inefficiencies and thinks about better ways to work Values precision and quality in everything you do Wants to be part of building a company from the ground up Ready to build the future of manufacturing?
