Job Description
Reporting to Director of Information Technology, the Network Security Administrator manages and executes the delivery of professional, technical and analytical IT Infrastructure services and solutions to the organization, providing strategic and tactical planning, development, evaluation and coordination of the technology and security systems that support the company’s business goals. Key Accountabilities Oversee the company's IT Network infrastructure, including networking and security technologies (routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, wireless network, telecommunications, etc.) Maintain SSL certificates on Internet-facing devices and Domain Name System(DNS) zone information. Manage Service Health using Monitoring tools, leading incident response, and troubleshooting efforts; ensuring Root Cause Analysis is provided to management and logging of all incidents and problems for continuous improvement efforts. Correlate highly technical information from multiple sources to determine the validity and risk from Information Technology security platforms and technology system logs, responding to events generated by the company’s security platforms, tools, and partners. Perform regular technology currency updates, maintenance fixes, vendor supplied patches and other maintenance activities based on established procedures and standards required to support the IT infrastructure. Assist with the resolution of tickets and escalated issues and actively participating in problem management activities. Maintain complete documentation of existing Infrastructure, Network, Services and Systems. Assist in the development, implementation, monitoring, and maintenance of Information Security policies and procedures, including relevant controls for ISO 27001 and other audits. Participate in other information technology related project and tasks. Education and Experience 5-7 years’ experience as Senior Network Administrator/Engineer in a mid to large-scale environment with hands-on experience in Cisco platforms. A College/Bachelors or Post-secondary degree in the field of Computer Science or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of relevant industry experience. Recognized Certifications in Cisco, Palo Alto, Microsoft, or other relevant combinations (CCNP Security/CCIE, CySA, and/or CISSP Certification desirable). An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered. Technical Requirements Expertise in implementing and managing Cisco Security Systems such as Cisco ASA and FirePower firewalls, AnyConnect VPN , Cisco ISE , AMP , Umbrella, Duo , etc. Solid understanding of Cisco switching, VLANs, port-channels, VPNs, Trunks, ACLs, OSPF/BGP, multicast routing, and Cisco Meraki. Hands-on experience working with Email Security Gateway such as Mimecast, Proofpoint, Cisco ESG and Exchange Online Protection. Experience working with SolarWinds , Zabbix , PRTG, NiTO or similar monitoring platforms. Familiarity with the administration of Microsoft365 Security and Compliance , including Entra, Defender, Purview, Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive. Understanding of Current and previous version expertise with Microsoft Technologies (Windows Server, SQL, IIS, Azure, Active Directory, PowerShell , Office 365 administration including SharePoint, Exchange , Teams, and OneDrive. Strong communication skills including both technical and business writing, documentation and presentation skills. Excellent problem solving and analytical thinking/innovation. Exceptional time management and multi-tasking skills. An understanding of law firm processes and procedures would be an asset.
