Job Title: Outpatient Physical Therapist Profession: Therapy/Rehabilitation Specialty: PT Outpatient Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty License: Valid State License required Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Specialized in orthopedics and geriatrics Description: You are being submitted to a position in a commonly impacted area for hurricanes. The hurricane season will run from June 1 to November 30, but storms have been known to occur outside of that window. Upon accepting an assignment and starting your role, you may be assigned to an "Emergency Team" where there will be an expectation to stay until after the storm passes or be part of the relief team. Specific details related to compensation will be communicated as impacts vary during each storm. By signing your travel contract, you accept the above terms and will report as assigned if a storm occurs. Please ensure you are comfortable with these conditions before applying during the hurricane window. The average daily census is roughly 25 patients, split between 2.5 therapists. The expected number of visits per day is between 8 to 12. The unit has a history of accepting first-time travelers. New graduates are not eligible for this position. COVID-19 vaccination is required, with exemptions available for medical/religious reasons. Flu vaccination is also required, with exemptions for medical/religious reasons. Module training may be required and will be completed during the orientation period. References are not required for submission; however, two manager or supervisor references will be needed for clearance to start. Resources with prior employment must have been separated for one full year before returning.
