Licensed Practical Nurse

We are looking for individuals passionate about supporting clients and their families through significant addiction and/or mental health crises. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to support our clients through the path of care continuum. They will be responsible for bedside care to our patients, liaising with the families and medical team, and being a part of the overall treatment team. As an LPN, you will provide mentorship and leadership within the team environment based on your scope of practice and skill set. An ability to create strong relationships with the patients, families, and our team are a critical asset to this position. You have strong assessment skills, ability to use critical thinking, flexibility, and ability to work in a high paced and acute environment. This position has transitioned to Recovery Alberta effective September 1, 2024. As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, demonstrated skill level and AHS policies and procedures. You will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS. Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). As required. As required.
