Cardiac Stepdown RN Job Details Location: Morgantown, WV 26506 (West Virginia healthcare job) Facility: 8 Southeast Stepdown Unit (32 beds) Assignment Length: 13 weeks (travel nursing contract) Start Date: October 27, 2025 End Date: January 26, 2026 Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1930 - $2070 Weekend Requirement: 3 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule Holiday Requirement: As needed Dress Code: Royal Blue scrubs Charting System: EPIC Registered Nurse Qualifications Active RN license (Registered Nurse; willing to wait for West Virginia licensure if needed) At least 1 year of recent MedSurg Stepdown or cardiac stepdown experience BLS and ACLS certifications required NIHSS certification required Proficient in titrating drips and interpreting cardiac rhythms COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered) Valid driver’s license with an address outside 50 miles from the facility Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities Provide high-quality nursing care to post-surgical thoracic and medicine patients in a stepdown/telemetry unit Manage patient assignments with ratios of 1:3 (stepdown) or 1:4 (combo stepdown/floor) Titrate cardiac medications including Cardizem, Amiodarone, Dopamine, Nitro, Esmolol, Heparin, and Lasix per physician orders Interpret and chart cardiac rhythms every 4 hours or as needed Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team including charge nurses, house supervisors, and CNAs Utilize BiPAP and trach care as needed (no ventilators required) Participate in comprehensive unit orientation (3 shifts provided) Maintain accurate clinical documentation using EPIC Apply now to join our dedicated healthcare team and take the next step in your travel nursing career in Morgantown, West Virginia!
