Job Description

Summer-Browning Associates are currently supporting our client who are seeking a Graduate Electrical Engineer on a Permanent basis. The ideal candidate will be recent graduate OR 6 months experience within a similar environment and holds a strong interest in electrical control panels and has a genuine interest in control systems, automation and motor control. Key Responsibilities: Assist in the design and layout of electrical control panels Build, wire, and test control panels to specification Program and configure VSDs and PLCs (training provided) Carry out on-site installations, commissioning, and system testing Support fault finding and troubleshooting activities Help prepare documentation, such as wiring schematics, manuals, and reports Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with safety and quality standards Candidate Requirements: A relevant engineering degree (e.g., Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering) Strong understanding of electrical and electronic principles Interest in control systems, automation, and motor control Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail A team player with a strong willingness to learn Ability to work independently and manage your time effectively A full clean UK driving licence and reliable vehicle is essential (mileage paid when travelling to site other than the office) Competent in the use of Microsoft Office suite Strong written and verbal communication skills, to allow to work alongside on-site engineers Located in North England, preferably within 1 hour of Oldham.
