Luxury 5* Relais & Châteaux Safari Lodge in the Greater Kruger area is looking for a hands-on Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef wanting to grow into a Head Chef position. We’re searching for a Head Chef who leads with heart and imagination , someone who thrives in an inspiring environment where food is more than flavour it’s storytelling. You’ll be part of a small, dedicated team that creates intimate fine-dining experiences, blending local ingredients with global inspiration . You’ll have the freedom to innovate while ensuring every plate reflects the warmth, depth and sophistication that defines the lodge. Duties: Lead, mentor, and motivate your kitchen team with excellence and empathy. Design and execute refined, seasonal menus that surprise and delight our guests. Bring creativity to every detail from breakfast by the waterhole to candlelit dinners under the stars. Maintain the highest standards of presentation, organisation, and food safety. Collaborate closely with management to align every culinary moment with the Jabulani experience. Engage with guests, sharing the inspiration behind your cuisine with warmth and professionalism. Requirements: Grade 12 A formally qualified chef with a fine-dining background (luxury lodge or boutique hotel experience preferred). 5 years in a senior kitchen role, with strong leadership and mentoring abilities. Passion for storytelling through food, using seasonal and sustainable ingredients. Organised, detail-oriented, and calm under pressure. Guest-centric with a refined sense of presentation and service. Comfortable living and working in a close-knit team environment in the bush. Package on offer: Salary Neg DOE Live in (single live in) Pension Cycles: 3 weeks on 1 weeks off Uniform
