Graduate Design Engineer

JOB – Graduate Design Engineer (Furniture Design) LOCATION – Leeds TERM – Permanent SALARY – £25,000 to £30,000 per annum (plus benefits) My client is a specialist manufacturer of bespoke furniture , seeking a Graduate Design Engineer to join their team in Leeds . The Graduate Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes: • A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, Furniture Design, or a related discipline • Knowledge of CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, SketchUp, or similar) • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills • Understanding of furniture design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes • Excellent attention to detail and communication skills • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team • Eagerness to learn and develop within the company The Graduate Design Engineer role will involve: • Supporting the design and development of bespoke furniture and fitted wardrobes • Producing 2D drawings and 3D CAD models for client approval and production • Assisting senior designers with project delivery from concept through to manufacture • Preparing technical documentation, specifications, and Bills of Materials (BOMs) • Collaborating with production teams to ensure manufacturability • Making revisions and improvements to designs as required • Gaining hands-on experience to develop as a design engineer If you are interested in this position, please apply with an up-to-date CV as soon as possible, along with your availability and salary expectations.
