Graduate Sales Engineer

Overview This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically biased graduate looking to begin a career in technical sales. You’ll be joining a dynamic team of sales engineers who are passionate about engineering and driving business growth. The role would suit a technically minded individual with some experience in sales, customer support, or a similar environment, and a genuine interest in seeing projects develop from enquiry through to delivery. The position is office-based, but you will visit customers across the UK, with a particular focus on the Midlands, South East, and Home Counties. Initial training will be office-based, but the role will transition into a hybrid/remote position longer term. Key Responsibilities Manage incoming enquiries while also identifying and developing new business opportunities. Demonstrate technical equipment capabilities using your expertise and company resources to support the sales process. Visit customer sites and book appointments to build and maintain relationships. Follow up on sales leads and progress opportunities through to completion. Support with installations and customer training sessions, ensuring a smooth handover. Provide ongoing support via phone and email to strengthen customer relationships. Promote a range of technical solutions to a diverse customer base. The Candidate Holds a degree with a mechanical bias (or equivalent technical qualification). CNC or CAD/CAM knowledge or experience Strong desire to develop a career in sales. Proficient IT skills, ideally with CRM or similar software experience. Understanding of workshop machinery or mechanical systems. Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently or within a team. Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills. Salary £25,000 – £32,000 per year, plus commission (depending on skills and experience).
