Job Description

Trustee Join Our Client – Become a Trustee and Make a Lasting Difference Our client supports children, young people, and adults with disabilities to live fulfilling lives and achieve their potential. They’re seeking new Trustees to join their Board and help shape the next chapter of their journey, supporting inclusion, independence, and community wellbeing across Surrey. They are particularly keen to hear from applicants with professional experience in property, buildings and estates management, or IT and digital systems at a senior level, as these areas are central to their next phase of growth and development. As a Trustee, you’ll use your experience to guide strategy, strengthen governance, and champion inclusion, all while growing your leadership skills, confidence, and perspective in a values-led, supportive environment. At our client’s organisation, Trustees don’t just make decisions, they make a difference they can feel. You’ll see the real impact of your contribution, connect with others who share your sense of purpose, and experience the deep fulfilment that comes from helping others thrive. Many of our client’s Trustees describe the role as one of the most rewarding things they’ve ever done, improving their confidence, self-belief, and wellbeing. You’ll also develop valuable board-level and leadership experience, enhancing your ability to influence strategically, ask the right questions, and lead through collaboration. Working alongside senior professionals from diverse backgrounds, you’ll broaden your understanding of how effective governance and compassionate leadership creates lasting impact. Other organisations may call this role Charity Director, Non-Executive Director, Charity Trustee, Board Member, or Volunteer Trustee. Our client welcomes applicants from all backgrounds, particularly those with expertise in property and buildings management, IT systems, governance, finance, ESG, people practice, or organisational development. Most importantly, they’re looking for people who care deeply about helping others live the life they choose. As they are already well represented by Trustees with backgrounds in health and social care, they will be prioritising applicants whose experience aligns with property, buildings and estates management or IT and digital systems. This voluntary role requires around 6–12 days per year, with hybrid meetings held in Surrey. Reasonable expenses are reimbursed. Use your experience to help every ability thrive and grow your leadership along the way. So, if you want to join our client as a Trustee and help create a community where everyone belongs, please apply via the button shown. This vacancy is being advertised by Webrecruit.
