Provide 1:1 catch-up, guide small groups, and pre-teach/overlearn key content. Prepare simple resources, record impact succinctly, and share next steps with class teachers. Help reinforce routines, encourage positive behaviour, and build independence. The Candidate: You’re a graduate who communicates clearly, stays organised, and builds rapport quickly with children. You follow guidance, use initiative to keep sessions purposeful, and are committed to improving pupil outcomes. Requirements • Degree – A 2:2 or above in any subject. • Communication – Clear and confident verbal and written communication. • Enhanced DBS – Must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate. • Desire to work in education/with children – Strong interest in primary education and pupil progress. • Experience working with children – Any relevant experience such as tutoring, mentoring or volunteering is desirable but not essential.
