Job Description

We’re looking for a Senior Associate to join our Debt Solutions team, supporting the delivery of Debt Arrangement Schemes (DAS) and related advisory services. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in credit control, debt collections, or financial services who wants to move into a more advisory and client-focused role. You don’t need to have worked in DAS before; we’ll provide full training and support to help you build your knowledge and confidence. Key Responsibilities Manage a portfolio of DAS cases from initial client engagement through to ongoing maintenance. Liaise with clients, creditors, and internal teams to ensure cases are processed efficiently and in line with Scottish regulations. Assess client financial circumstances and assist in preparing appropriate repayment proposals. Ensure all case documentation is accurate, compliant, and maintained to the highest standard. Provide empathetic and professional support to clients throughout their debt solution journey. Contribute to process improvement and team development initiatives within the Debt Solutions department. Maintain awareness of relevant legislation, policy changes, and industry best practices. About You Background in credit control, debt collection, or financial administration. Strong communication and relationship management skills, able to work confidently with clients and creditors alike. Highly organised, with excellent attention to detail and case management skills. Empathetic and solutions-focused, with a genuine desire to help clients regain financial stability. Comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative team. Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with case management or CRM systems. Desirable (but not essential) Experience working within debt advice, insolvency, or regulated financial services. Understanding of the Debt Arrangement Scheme (Scotland). Relevant industry qualification (e.g., SCQF Level 6/7 in Debt Resolution or willingness to study toward one).
