Job Description

Academic Appointments is recruiting Teaching Assistants and Learning Support Workers to work in SEND schools across Sheffield. These roles involve supporting pupils with a range of additional needs including autism, SEMH, and complex learning difficulties. Key Responsibilities: * Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEND * Assist with personal care, emotional regulation, and sensory needs * Implement behaviour support strategies and de-escalation techniques * Work closely with teachers and therapists to deliver tailored interventions * Promote inclusion and pupil wellbeing Requirements: * Experience working in SEND or SEMH settings * Knowledge of autism, ADHD, trauma-informed practice, or similar * Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply) * Patience, resilience, and a nurturing approach What We Offer: * Competitive daily rates from £95 to £110, paid weekly * Opportunities in specialist and mainstream SEND settings * Dedicated consultant support * Access to safeguarding and CPD training * Flexible and long-term roles available Rate of pay is dependent on current grade, experience and payroll method.
