The role involves overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring consistent quality, managing stock and costs, and leading the team in the Head Chef’s absence. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative, detail-oriented chef with luxury lodge experience to join a dynamic culinary team. Requirements · Tertiary Culinary Diploma & Grade 12 · Minimum 3 years’ experience as Sous Chef in a 5-star game lodge · Strong knowledge of fine dining, bush meals, stock control, budgeting, and kitchen health & safety · Ability to lead a team in the Head Chef’s absence · Creative, detail-oriented, and up to date with culinary trends · Solid track record with contactable references Responsibilities · Support the Head Chef with daily kitchen operations · Ensure consistent high standards in food preparation and presentation · Manage stock, food costs, and monthly stock takes · Oversee mise en place and production across kitchen sections ➡️A food portfolio must be submitted with your application that clearly displays your creativity, innovation and attention to detail.
