Quality Coordinator

The Quality Coordinator will oversee and optimize quality management activities in the sheet metal manufacturing operations. This role ensures that products and services meet stringent customer requirements and quality standards, while fostering continuous improvement initiatives. As a key player in the manufacturing process, the Quality Coordinator will manage quality control plans, conduct audits, and facilitate workshops to support quality assurance goals. What you'll do Support workshop staff on quality issues and communicate updates across departments Manage Non-Conformance queries and investigations Liaise with customers and suppliers to resolve quality matters Oversee outsourced inspections including Dye Pen, MPI, X-Ray, AIA, and Pressure Testing Prepare Quality Control plans and manage the ISIR process Conduct internal and supplier audits Maintain quality records for traceability and ensure QA processes are adhered to Measure products using various instruments and manage inspection equipment calibration Provide training on quality control and enforce SOPs Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions Review job requirements and plan inspections/testing Lead quality projects and continuous improvement initiatives Ensure productivity targets are met and adherence to company policies What you'll need Grade 12 Minimum 7 years experience in a quality/welding environment At least 5 years conducting measurements on welded/fabricated products 3 years in a supervisory/management role Ability to read mechanical drawings and understand metals & metrology principles Knowledge of ISO 9001 & ISO 3834 practices Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills Strong leadership, planning, and organisational abilities Proficiency in Microsoft Office; MS Projects Tertiary qualification in quality assurance/management or welding ISO 9001 Quality Management and internal auditing training
