Job Summary Job Title: Material Handler II Location: Onsite Paisley Type: Full-time Shift: Monday–Friday, 8:00–16:00 Duration: 18 weeks (with potential for full-time employment) Pay Rate: £12.65/hour (approx. £25,155 annual equivalent) Start Date: ASAP Interview: Onsite, 60 minutes with hiring manager and team leader Position Objective: To perform warehousing duties including goods receiving, storage control, and material handling to support the manufacture of cell culture media and reagents. The role demands consistent performance and adherence to manufacturing standards. ✅ Must-Have Requirements Education: * Grade 3 or better in Standard Grade Maths, English, and one science subject * Relevant manufacturing experience may substitute formal education Experience: * Minimum 3 years in a high-throughput manufacturing environment * Passion for continuous improvement and engagement in team initiatives Skills: * Counterbalance forklift license (required) * Computer literacy: Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint; ERP system experience preferred * Attention to detail * Ability to operate semi-automated and automated equipment * Time management and multitasking skills * Good communication and initiative-taking Working Conditions: * Warehouse environment with varied temperatures (room temp, 2–8°C cold room, -15 to -20°C freezer) * Must lift up to 40 lbs and stand for long periods * Safe handling of chemicals and hazardous materials * Flexibility for overtime and shift changes Other Requirements: * Standard background check * PPE provided by supplier (safety boots, hi-vis vest, safety glasses)
