Graduate Assistant Project Manager (APM) Location: Canary Wharf, London (Hybrid) Salary: £24,000 total package (£22,000–£23,000 basic) Contract Type: Permanent Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Graduate Assistant Project Manager to join our team based in Canary Wharf. This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate looking to develop a career in project management within the construction, infrastructure, or telecoms sectors. You will support senior Project Managers in delivering projects for a range of clients. The role involves assisting with planning, coordination, reporting, and stakeholder communication to help ensure projects are delivered successfully. You’ll gain exposure to all stages of the project lifecycle and receive mentoring to build your professional and technical skills. Key Responsibilities * Provide high-quality project support to Project Managers and Key Account Managers * Assist with project coordination, documentation, and reporting * Help monitor project progress, budgets, and timelines under supervision * Contribute to the preparation of project plans, schedules, and quotations * Support communication with clients, contractors, and internal teams * Attend meetings with senior team members and take accurate notes or follow-up actions * Help maintain project records, risk registers, and action trackers * Learn and apply key principles of project and programme management * Demonstrate attention to detail and a proactive approach in all tasks About You (Essential Criteria) * Recent graduate with a degree in any discipline (Construction, Engineering, or Business preferred) * Strong written and verbal communication skills * Highly organised with excellent attention to detail * Confident working with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project) * Positive, proactive attitude and eagerness to learn * Ability to work well in a team and take initiative when needed * Interest in developing a career in project management Desirable * Some exposure to construction, rail, infrastructure, or telecoms projects (e.g., through university, internships, or placements) * Understanding of bids, tenders, or proposals * Awareness of professional bodies such as APM, ICE, or CIOB * Ambition to work towards professional project management accreditation (APM or similar) What We Offer * Hybrid working (Canary Wharf office) * Excellent mentoring and career progression * Opportunity to work on diverse and high-profile infrastructure projects If you’re ready to start your project management career in a dynamic and supportive environment, we’d love to hear from you
