Engineering Internship - Sydney (Dec 2025)

Join Qantas Group as an Engineering Intern in Sydney for a 3-month paid internship working on real aviation projects. Your Role Here’s what you will be doing: Work on real business projects within Qantas Group’s Engineering teams. Contribute to aircraft maintenance and business unit studies across the Asia-Pacific region. Collaborate with seasoned professionals and expert mentors. Develop practical skills and explore advancements in aviation technology. Ensure the safety and comfort of passengers flying with Qantas Group. Participate in a 3-month paid internship based in Sydney or Brisbane depending on project allocation. About You The company is looking for: Current third or fourth year undergraduate students in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mechatronic, Aeronautical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering. Credit average or above in your studies. Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, HTML5, iOS mobile development, or Matlab (highly regarded). Possess high analytical skills with the ability to solve complex problems by thinking laterally. Highly motivated, energetic, and ambitious individual. Strong verbal and written communication skills and teamwork orientation. Ability to liaise and present to all levels within the organisation. Genuine interest in the Airline/Aviation Industry. New Zealand or Australian permanent residency. Compensation & Benefits 3-month paid internship. Flights provided at the beginning and end of the placement, and for the Christmas/New Year break for interstate participants.
