Job Description
New fine-dining Restaurant opening at a Wine Estate close to Franschhoek is looking for an experienced Restaurant Manager to lead the front-of-house team and ensure the seamless daily operation of the restaurant. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in luxury dining environments , exceptional leadership skills and a passion for creating world-class guest experiences. Duties: Oversee and manage all aspects of the restaurant’s daily operations. Lead, train, and motivate the front-of-house team to deliver 5* service. Ensure smooth coordination between kitchen and service teams. Monitor reservations, guest satisfaction, and service flow. Maintain stock control of beverages and oversee supplier relationships. Uphold health, safety, and hygiene standards. Drive revenue and manage budgets while controlling costs. Handle guest feedback and resolve issues promptly with professionalism. Requirements: Grade 12 A formal qualification Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager (or Assistant Manager) in a 4- or 5* establishment. Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills. In-depth knowledge of fine dining service standards. Excellent problem-solving abilities and a guest-centric mindset. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
