Pay Information $2,179 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Neuro ICU Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years in ICU License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Level 1 trauma experience EVD experience Strong neuro assessment skills ICP monitoring experience 3-6 months of travel experience Description: The position requires a Registered Nurse specializing in Neuro ICU. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a large Level 1 trauma setting. This role involves caring for patients with critical neuro diagnoses. The nurse will be responsible for monitoring patients and providing high-quality critical care. The nurse may be expected to float between ICU floors and tele units. Patient ratios are typically 1:2 in the ICU and 4:1 in tele units. The unit has 32 beds and treats a variety of complex neurological conditions. Nurses will conduct assessments and interventions with a focus on neuro outcomes. Candidates must possess the ability to maintain a sterile field during procedures. Floating to other areas may be required, and the nurse must be flexible. This role will involve participation in educational sessions and skill assessments. The hospital can cancel up to four shifts during the 13-week assignment. The candidate must have experience with common diagnoses such as cranial surgeries and spine procedures.
