Materials Manager

Job Description Job Description For over 44 years, a leading Southern California Electronic Manufacturing Service (EMS) company, whose services include PCB assembly, electro-mechanical assembly and systems integration has been providing manufacturing services to the industrial, medical, aerospace, and automotive markets. The Company has an excellent Materials Manager opportunity due to exceptional growth. Responsibilities: · Oversee and manage all operations within the Purchasing Department. · Managing, controlling, and directing material procurement to support company goals and objectives. · Work closely with Program Management, Production, Engineering, and the Quality department to ensure adequate supply and efficient movement of materials. · Support and collaborate with other functional managers and supervisors that oversee inventory control, storage, and receiving functions. · Execute the materials requirements plan from purchase order to material receipt while monitoring inventory levels to meet demand for products within budget and timeframe through direct reports and to reduce excess stock. · Collaborate closely with vendors and manufacturers to ensure that business requirements are supported and met. Requirements: · Strong Analytic and spreadsheet skills required. · Typically requires a college degree or equivalent and four to six years related experience, including direct supervision. · Epicor MRP system knowledge is a plus.
