Job Details Grade: 7A Hourly Rate: £17.78 - £19.51 Salary: £32465.07 - £35622.32 per annum Contract Duration: Permanent Interviews will be carried out the week commencing the 3rd November 2025 Role Purpose An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Private Water Supply Team at Scottish Borders Council as a Technical Assistant. The successful applicant would be part of small team mainly carrying out water sampling from Private Supplies throughout the Scottish Borders. The post is predominantly site based with a degree of admin duties as part of the sampling process. The post involves taking samples for submission to the laboratory, analysis of sampling results and giving advice to members of the public who use Private Water Supplies to ensure a wholesome water supply. Essential Educated to HND level or equivalent experience A current driving licence and use of a vehicle is an essential requirement of this post. * If you have a disability which precludes you from holding a drivers licence, Scottish Borders Council will take into account its responsibility to make reasonable adjustments to allow for your disability.
