Lecturer in Engineering

Lecturer in Engineering within the Apprenticeship department 21.6 hours per week, 52 weeks per year £20,130 - £24,043 per annum pro rata £33,550 - £40,073 per annum We are looking for someone passionate about the Engineering industry with experience of teaching and assessing for the next generation of Engineering Apprentices. This is a field that is in demand and a growth area for CCN Apprenticeships. We are looking for a 0.6 (3 days a week) Lecturer to join a team who deliver, assess and ideally IQA for Engineering apprentices. We are particularly keen to hear from applicants who have recent experience in Fluid Power and have a minimum of 3 years work experience in this sector with a Level 3 Engineering qualification or higher. You must be a confident communication who is people focused and able to build relationships quickly. Good levels of literacy and numeracy are essential as well as strong IT skills, and self-reliance. In addition to your engineering qualifications, an Assessor Award or Teaching Qualification and/or IQA qualification is desirable, but if you do not have a teaching or assessing qualification; this is something we can offer as part of your development. We require all staff to undertake an enhanced Adult and Child Workforce DBS Check and to register with the DBS Update Service. Please note: From 28 November 2020 the government implemented changes to the filtering rules, and we have been instructed that we cannot accept any update service checks on DBS certificates that have been issued before this date. Therefore, a new one must be completed with City College Norwich.
