POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for managing all aspects of accounting, finance and financial reporting for the company, focusing on financial reporting, analysis, and compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES: Accounting & Reporting Manage monthly, quarterly and annual General Ledger (GL) closing within mandated timelines reflecting the financial impact of all significant events and business transactions, in compliance with IFRS and group accounting policies. Review invoicing and sign off before sending to customers. Timely process of monthly payroll. Responsible for monthly Flash and MIS reports. Responsible for the accurate presentation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards and group accounting policies. Contact person for any finance related enquiries from group accounting. Plan and coordinate the annual audit; liaising with auditors to ensure annual monitoring is carried out Plan for and execute the periodic audit processes by generating the necessary audit schedules and reconciliations. Resolve any queries put forth by the auditors to facilitate the audit process. Establish and maintain business relationships with external auditors, banks, IT consultants, insurance brokers, lawyers, customers, vendors, and government taxing agencies. Controlling & Monitoring Analyze and interpret financial reports to determine revenue, cost, and expense variances and make recommendations to management. Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost reduction. Oversee credit limits to customers. Advise the line manager on the usage of liquid funds. Responsible for the Working Capital Management (e.g. monitoring of receivables and if required, organization of meetings to discuss and resolve the outstanding issues, etc.) Manage the consolidated treasury function to assure cash requirements are met and predict future trends. Evaluation and optimization of finance related business processes and documentation. Oversee credit limits to customers. Advise management on the usage of liquid funds. Responsible for the internal control system and risk management (company specific policies, goals, internal controls e.g. financial accounting etc.) Review, implement and monitor accounting process within the entity. Implement working system and distribute tasks to the employees of the financial department, monitor their performance and mentor the employees. Budgeting & Forecasting Responsible for the development of the annual budget and 5-year mid-term plan. Update annual forecasts during the fiscal year. Other functions Co - Manage the DSI MEX IT function. Assistance on special projects as required. Chair the Management Review meetings. Taxation: optimize international taxes/WHT. Responsible for tax compliance of international rental business. Responsible for company insurance matters. QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: University degree in accounting (ideally CPA qualified) 3 years of relevant experience in an international Group, preferably within the oil industry Strong accounting and technical skills with different lines of business operating in a multiple currency environment. Significant exposure in managing finance applications and systems. Excellent English skills – oral and written. Fluent in Spanish – oral and written. Good experience with international group accounting. Skill Requirements: Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with employees, peers, executive leadership, customers, vendors and others (customer service oriented). Ability to meet and establish deadlines. Strong problem solving and decision-making skills. Well organized Can work under pressure. Must be a team player. Open to travel to clients if necessary.
