About the Role As a Mechatronics & Robotics Technician, you will use your skills to support the Operations Maintenance team in repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout the building. You will have the opportunity to install, maintain and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment. In addition to developing your skills, you will mentor junior technicians to grow in their roles. What Do We Offer? Selection process overview (Mechatronics & Robotics Technicians) (Timeframe: approximately 30 days) Step 1: Application submission. Responsibilities Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures Complete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to Material Handling Equipment (MHE) including belts, motors, photo-eyes, relays, and more Maintain positive working relationships across all Amazon Operations facilities Track and store department inventory Move up to 49 lbs and stand/walk during shifts up to 12 hours, with or without reasonable accommodation Please note that while we strive to accommodate employees' preferences for shift assignments, due to operational requirements and scheduling constraints, we cannot guarantee a specific shift assignment. Typical Shifts Front Half Day Shift: 4 days on, 3 days off. Example pattern: Sunday to Wednesday; 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM (10-hour shift). Back Half Day Shift: 4 days on, 3 days off. Example pattern: Wednesday to Saturday; 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM. Front Half Night Shift: 4 days on, 3 days off. Example pattern: Sunday to Wednesday; 6:00 PM to 4:30 AM. Basic Qualifications High school or equivalent diploma 1 years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience Ability to work a flexible schedule/shift, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays 2 years of conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures experience 2 years of repairing material handling equipment (MHE), automated conveyor systems, or related mechanical/controls equipment experience 2 years of reading blueprints and electrical schematics experience 2 years of safety standards experience 1 years of troubleshooting and diagnostics of material handling equipment (MHE) Preferred Qualifications Associates or higher degree from a vocational school or college with a focus in Mechanical or Electrical field 2 years apprenticeship or equivalent experience in Mechanical or Electrical field Ability to troubleshoot basic input and output function of building operations Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) Continuous improvement mindset 2 years of experience with Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) based controls systems Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. The Colorado base pay for this position ranges from $72,800/year up to $72,800/year. The National base pay for this position ranges from $57,720/year in our lowest geographic market up to $77,064/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
