Hematologist, Central Alberta Cancer Centre, Red Deer

Cancer Care Alberta, Alberta Health Services, Community Oncology invite applications for a full-time clinician within the discipline of Hematology and Hematological Malignancies. The successful applicant will become a member of a multidisciplinary cancer program located at the Central Alberta Cancer Centre in Red Deer, Alberta, and will join a team of Medical and Radiation Oncologists, Nurse Practitioners and medical support staff working in the Central Zone. This position is based at the Central Alberta Cancer Centre, Red Deer, AB and will provide malignant hematology services as part of the malignant hematology group service commitment to the patients of the Central Zone. Services will include 60% Malignant Hematology, CCA and 40% Non-Malignant Hematology, Central Zone. Responsibilities will include participation in ambulatory clinics and other responsibilities will include participation in local and provincial tumour team-based activities including clinical case reviews at tumour board rounds, annual, provincial tumour team meetings and local quality assurance and quality improvement initiatives.
