Job Description
Our Client Our client, a leading international education group and holding company of premium institutions, is seeking a Head of Partnerships & Business Development. This senior leadership role is pivotal in strengthening community presence, deepening corporate and institutional networks, and driving strategic initiatives that enhance brand visibility and engagement with families, corporates, and community partners across Singapore and the region. Main Responsibilities Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key external entities, including corporates, expat social clubs, international chambers, education consultants, and local nursery providers. Ensure these relationships are nurtured to foster long-term engagement. Community Engagement: Actively engage with various community groups to promote the organisation’s presence and reputation in Singapore. Understand the dynamics and needs of these groups to tailor offerings effectively. Strategic Networking: Identify and leverage networking opportunities such as tradeshows, forums, and webinars to increase visibility and appeal within expat and local communities. Collaboration and Partnership: Initiate and manage collaborations with external partners for events and programmes that benefit the community, such as guest speaker sessions, workshops, webinars, hosted visits, and joint projects. Brand Ambassador: Represent the organisation in various forums and events, effectively communicating its values, programmes, and achievements to external audiences. Market Analysis and Strategy Development: Conduct market research to understand trends and opportunities in the education sector. Develop and implement strategies to position the organisation effectively in the market. Enquiry Generation: Implement initiatives aimed at increasing enquiries (including through education consultant networks) and interest from prospective families. Feedback and Relationship Assessment: Regularly gather feedback from external partners and community members to assess relationship effectiveness and adjust strategies accordingly. Reporting and Communication: Provide regular updates to leadership on business development activities, partnerships, tradeshows, workshops, events, webinars, and market trends. Sponsorship & Commercial Collaboration: Secure sponsorships for programmes, co-curricular activities, outreach events, and facilities while establishing long-term commercial partnerships that reinforce the brand and support financial sustainability. Experiential Learning Partnerships: Develop internships, mentorships, and applied learning opportunities through partnerships with corporates, startups, and social enterprises. Innovation & Industry Engagement: Engage with external partners to co-design innovation challenges and real-world projects that produce tangible outcomes and deepen community ties. Impact & Evaluation: Build systems to assess the strategic value and impact of partnerships on learner experience, brand positioning, and organisational growth. Community-Based Revenue Models: Leverage milestones and seasonal campaigns to attract targeted commercial support, while fostering recurring revenue through curated community programmes and family-focused offers. Facility Leasing Management: Develop and manage facility leasing opportunities and third-party contracts to drive revenue. Nursery Partnerships: Establish and manage partnerships with local nurseries to enhance brand visibility, enquiry/lead generation, and event opportunities. ECA & Social Club Partnerships: Form strategic alliances with extracurricular activity providers and social clubs to increase community visibility. Corporate & Consultant Engagement: Build relationships with corporate employers, relocation companies, student recruitment agencies, and education consultants to drive enrolments. Community Connect Initiatives: Support group-wide community initiatives by facilitating third-party and corporate involvement to enhance engagement. Local Business Collaboration Pilots: Explore joint visibility opportunities with child-focused businesses (e.g., bookstores, learning centres). Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team dedicated to business development and external relations. Foster a collaborative and results-driven work environment. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Education, or related field. At least 5 years of proven experience in partnerships, sponsorships, business development, or admissions — ideally within the education, services, or community sectors. Strong commercial acumen and success in developing revenue-generating collaborations. Excellent negotiation, stakeholder management, and presentation skills. Understanding of Singapore’s education landscape and community networks advantageous. Additional languages are a plus due to the need to liaise with diverse corporate and community stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions. Flexibility to travel internationally and to attend events or roadshows outside of standard working hours when required.
