Job Title: Setting Out Engineer / Site Engineer Location: Leicester Day Rate: £300 per day (9-hour shifts, equipment supplied) Duration: 7-month freelance contract Sector: New Build Industrial Unit (Main Contractor) Overview We’re recruiting a freelance Setting Out Engineer / Site Engineer for a new build industrial project in Leicester. This is a minimum 7-month contract working for a leading main contractor, with all setting out equipment provided. The Role * Setting out using GPS, Rotating Laser and Total Station * Managing QA, record keeping, and associated paperwork * Interpreting construction drawings and specifications * Liaising with site management, subcontractors, and design teams * Ensuring compliance with health & safety standards Candidate Requirements * Minimum 5 years’ setting out experience (ideally on industrial or civils projects) * HNC / HND / Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management * Strong knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Office, and setting out equipment * Excellent communication skills and proactive problem-solving approach How to Apply Call Carl Bennion on (phone number removed) (7:00am – 7:00pm) for a confidential chat, or click Apply Now to send your CV.
