IT Apprenticeship

IT Apprentice required to join Technology Provider, the primary purpose of this role is to provide comprehensive IT support to ensure the effective operation of the organization's IT systems and services. The role involves handling user requests, troubleshooting technical issues, maintaining IT facilities, and collaborating with internal and external resources to deliver high-quality support. By ensuring IT services are accessible, reliable, and aligned with business needs, the role contributes to the productivity and satisfaction of all employees. The IT Support department is dedicated to maintaining and enhancing the organisation's IT infrastructure and services. It ensures the delivery of efficient, secure, and user-friendly technology solutions that support business operations and objectives. Through proactive management, technical expertise, and a customer-focused approach, the department strives to resolve incidents, implement improvements, and foster innovation to meet the evolving needs of the business. Required skills: Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, Windows 10/11, networking, anti-virus and other software Customer focused with a passion for delivering quality services and continual service improvement. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Team worker able to interact with employees and vendors. Logical problem-solving skills. Analytical. The ability to work under pressure while maintaining a clear perspective on business needs. Good written and oral communication skills for communications with technical staff, business customers and management. Time management skills; able to be flexible in responding to changing needs. Organised, pragmatic and able to influence or persuade. A results-oriented person, capable of distinguishing between achieving a practical solution and pursuing perfection. Desired skills: Experience of PC Build management techniques. Some knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SNMP and IP Security. Understanding of Firewalls and their usage.
