Job Description

Overview Technical Support Specialist role, remote-based in Italy or Germany. Reporting to the Technical Support Manager, you will be part of an international team providing second level support by resolving customer problems and issues through technical expertise and troubleshooting on Automation Platforms. You will drive service targets while ensuring strong customer satisfaction and retention, apply critical thinking to rapidly repair instrumentation, train customers and Service Engineers, support the Applications Team, and verify operational performance and data quality of systems to support the commercial organization. You will operate independently in the Italian/Germany territory and in Europe when needed (overnight travel as required) to install and maintain automation instrumentation and systems in hospital and stand-alone laboratory environments. Teamwork is emphasized to share standard methodologies and mentor others. Responsibilities Provide second-level technical support for Automation Platforms to resolve customer problems and issues. Drive service targets and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention. Apply critical thinking to rapidly repair instrumentation and train customers and Service Engineers. Support the Applications Team and verify the operational performance and data quality of systems. Install and maintain Automation instrumentation and systems in hospital and stand-alone laboratory environments. Collaborate with the team to share standard methodologies and provide mentorship. Qualifications Biomedical engineer or equivalent. At least 5 years of Technical Support or Field Service experience in the Diagnostics market. Early career candidates with troubleshooting experience from thesis work or internships are welcome. Proficient English, both spoken and written, is mandatory. Ability to travel within the country and periodically to other European countries, with overnight travel; a current valid driver’s license is required. Preferred Willing to work different shifts/flexible hours as business needs. Analytical mindset with ability to analyze data, identify problems, and implement effective solutions.
