AWS Utility Computing (UC) provides product innovations — from foundational services such as Amazon’s Simple Storage Service (S3) and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), to consistently released new product innovations that continue to set AWS’s services and features apart in the industry. As a member of the UC organization, you’ll support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (Iot), Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS. Within AWS UC, Amazon Dedicated Cloud (ADC) roles engage with AWS customers who require specialized security solutions for their cloud services. Annapurna Labs, an Amazon company, plays a significant role in AWS's success with developing Nitro card. Nitro Cards are dedicated hardware components with powerful 64-bit processing capabilities and specialized Application Specific Integrated Circuits (“ASICs”) that operate independently from the system main board that runs all customer compute environments, including code and data processing operations. As a Python Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) in our team, you will be responsible for the AWS Nitro card software quality. That includes the development of the test automation solution for embedded systems and components, designing and defining test plans, maintaining the automation frameworks, optimizing CI/CD processes, setup and maintenance of both on-premises (lab) and AWS cloud testing environments. You will build and apply solutions that assess and mitigate SW quality risks of the Nitro card, you will be analyzing and reporting test results, troubleshooting complex system problems. In your role, you will collaborate closely with SW developer teams to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality AWS Nitro card software to our customers. This role requires a blend of technical proficiency, analytical thinking, and collaborative skills to drive continuous improvement in our testing methodologies. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS 4 years of non-internship professional software development testing experience 2 years of test automation frameworks and tools building experience Proficiency in Python programming, including object-oriented design and scripting for test automation Experience in testing and quality assurance for hardware-software interfaces of embedded systems Familiarity with CI/CD frameworks, processes and tools for continuous testing and integration Demonstrated ability to analyze complex system problems and implement effective testing solutions Experience with both on-premises and cloud-based testing environments, preferably including AWS services Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience with Linux operating systems, including command-line operations, scripting, and system administration tasks PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge of overall system architecture, scalability, reliability, and performance in a database environment Experience with security in service-oriented architectures and web services Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
