About the team – The Portfolio and Financial Services section sits within the Technology Group of the Australian Sports Commission. The Team oversees Technology Group’s program management process and delivers complex technology projects across the organisation and sporting system. It has the responsibility for managing the financial elements and components of the Groups ITSM lifecycle including technology project budgets and project governance functions of the Group. About the role – Digital technologies are transforming all aspects of sport, from participation to high performance and administration. Working within the Portfolio and Financial Services team, you will be the go-to-person for applying Agile methodology to produce high-quality outcomes to help deliver seamless experiences across all channels and services to connect the Australian sport industry with participants and the Australian public. As a Project Manager/Scrum Master, you will be responsible for bringing together all aspects of the delivery team and ensuring that Agile methodology is implemented effectively. In practical terms, you will help our product owners define value, the development team to deliver value, and the Scrum team to efficiently operate and collaborate holistically to deliver on concurrent technology projects. Your responsibilities will include: Guiding and coaching the Scrum team on how to use Agile practices and principles to deliver high quality products and services to the ASC and sports sector. Managing the scope and timeline of each project. Coordinating sprints, retrospective meetings and stand-ups. Facilitating internal communication and effective collaboration to influence and drive decision making which supports project outcomes. Working with product owners and ASC teams during delivery to ensure desired outcomes are met. Helping teams implement changes effectively, resolve conflicts and remove obstacles that occur. Ensuring deliverables are up to quality and security standards at the end of each sprint. Guide development teams to higher Agile maturity, including ensuring that Agile methodology is understood and embedded across the team and broader Group. Working with colleagues to develop a design system for ASC and sport, with a focus on usability, re-usability, accessibility and best-practice. Contribute to long-term planning aligned to ASC strategy underpinned by core technology platforms that are reliable, secure, efficient and sustainable. About you – We are looking for a motivated individual with excellent attention to detail and experience as a Project Manager and/or Scrum Master. You will have excellent planning and problem-solving skills, a high-level of communication skills, and be able to confidently work with Senior Executives to ensure the effective delivery of priority projects across the ASC. The successful candidate must have: A proven track record of agile project delivery, preferably using hybrid project methodologies and multi-disciplinary scrum teams in Australian Government organisations. Proven ability to deliver concurrent deliverables to tight deadlines, using initiative and responding flexibly to change and uncertainty. Clear, concise and articulate oral and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly demonstrate progress and challenges and build delivery confidence with stakeholders. Demonstrable skills in effective ICT scope definition and management, stakeholder management, delivery planning, build monitoring and control Qualifications including a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualifications in product or project management, computer science, business or a similar field are desirable.
