Benefits Flexible working hours Complete autonomy with calendar and bookings Working within a state-of-the-art facility with dedicated front-end team Work-life balance What You Will Do In addition to the general OT roles & responsibilities: Therapeutic use of occupations, and activities, including therapeutic use of self (including one’s personality, insights, perceptions, and judgments, as part of the therapeutic process) Skill development in self-care, self-management, home management, and community/work/school reintegration Education and support of individuals, including family members, caregivers, and others, through collaborative and consultative partnerships and family-centered approaches Care coordination, case management, transition services including discharge planning, client advocacy and onward referral to relevant services Modification of environments (e.g., home, work, school, community) and adaptation of processes, including the application of ergonomic principles Assessment, customzation, and oversight of equipment provision including orthotic devices, and training in the use of prosthetic devices Driver rehabilitation and community mobility Use of natural contexts for assessment and intervention (i.e. home, school classrooms, work settings, community) Use of a range of specific therapeutic procedures to enhance performance such as wound care management, techniques to enhance sensory, perceptual, and cognitive processing, and manual therapy technique skills Taking on more clients of a greater variety Look at completing AT assessment and reports independently Be able to effectively supervise AHA students in clinic Give opportunity to new grads to observe Be a buddy for new grad OTs Participate in MDT training and workshops Begin to build skills in particular clinical areas You Will Also Be Responsible For Taking on more COMPLEX clients Seeing a greater variety of clients of all types Look at completing AT assessment and reports independently for specialized AT Be able to effectively supervise PT and AHA students in clinic Give opportunity to new grads to observe Be a buddy for new grad OTs Participate in MDT training and workshops Begin to build skills in particular clinical areas Provide mentoring and supervision for OT and new grad OTs How We Will Support You Dedicated admin team Dedicated HR and finance team to look after all admin affairs Dedicated team leaders and team manager in each department Fully stocked clinics with resources Ability to have resource packs made up to travel within the community Back-end processes in place to make daily work easier Resource budget per discipline per month Dedicated internal/external supervision and mentoring as well as PD Opportunities for observation of more experienced/ specialized staff across disciplines What's In It For You Advancement of clinical knowledge Working with preferred caseload and client types Ongoing clinical development Regular mentoring and supervision Team specific meetings and support In-house PD at no cost (Over 40 PD hours per year) More Benefits Access to a work car for community and remote work Paid travel for community work Paid PD leave PD budget per calendar year Paid staff meetings and professional development in-house Access for work vehicle and work-related travel coverage Access to gym and swim facilities at our sites located inside leisure centres Let your career soar at Soaring Health
