Job Description
Founded in 1881 by the Marist Brothers, St Joseph’s College is a boarding and day secondary boys’ school, whose Catholic identity is shaped by Marist spirituality and traditions. Governed by Marist Schools Australia, the College enrolment is 1,100 students. Visual Arts Teacher Parttime fixed term, commencing 13 October 2025 until the end of Term 4, 2025 at 0.64fte An enthusiastic, experienced and dynamic teacher who has strong content knowledge of the current Visual Arts Syllabus and high work ethic is sought. The successful applicant will be confident with technology, and has experience in teaching Stage 6 Visual Arts, elective Visual Arts and mandatory courses. Innovation in teaching a variety of 2D and 3D art forms across Stage 4 and elective classes in a successful and well-resourced department is also required. A capacity and willingness to embrace a collegial and collaborative approach as a member of a successful department is essential. All applicants for the above position must be supportive of the Catholic ethos and tradition of the College and be prepared to participate in the co-curricular area (which may not include any weekend responsibilities).
